METHOD STATEMENT FOR PREPARING SHISHA PIPES FOR SMOKEING.
- Fill the glass base with water to ¾ full
- Place the shaft (pipe) into the glass base making sure that the rubber seal is made. Use a screw method to tightly fit the pipe with the rubber grommet to the glass base.
- Carefully lift the shaft approx 5mm from the floor making sure that the glass base does not come off. Make sure you have the other hand on the glass base just in case the fitting is not correct.
- Place the stainless tray on the top of the pipe. This will catch any charcoal if it was to fall from the clay bowl.
- Place the hose with rubber grommet into the side of the pipe. Make sure it is a tight fit.
- Place your thumb over the top of the shisha pipe (where the tobacco bowl fits) and suck on the mouth piece of the hose to make sure that no air is entering the system.
- Prepare your clay bowl / stainless bowl with the flavour of tobacco your customer requires. Do not tightly pack but fill the clay bowl to the top.
- Use tin foil to cover the top of the clay bowl and make sure it’s big enough to go around the sides.
- Use a sharp object (toothpick) to put holes in the tin foil at the top of the bowl.
- Use some more tin foil and place a lip around the clay bowl so that once the shisha lite is placed on the foil it will be much harder for it to slip off.
- Place the already prepared clay / stainless bowl with the rubber bowl grommet onto the shisha pipe stem.
- Use the tongs provided and pick up the round charcoal and use a lighter to ignite the shisha lite charcoal.
- Place the lit charcoal on the stainless shisha tray and wait until the charcoal is burning properly then place on the top of the clay / stainless bowl and fit wind cover over the bowl with burning charcoal.
- Use the hose and start to draw the smoke using a sucking method.
- After 3 or 4 times the smoke should appear in the glass bowl.
- Take the shisha pipe to customer and place on a firm area, either floor or table.
- Give the customer / customer’s mouth tip / tips for the end of the hose.
- Inform the customer to contact you if you need any help in moving or refill the tobacco.
